Tilt-Shift Love

These videos were made by Keith Loutit and are great examples of tilt shift photography in video.

The basic idea behind it is when a special lens in a camera creates a miniature effect on a full-sized subject or landscape.

I stumbled across this photography effect a few months ago but I still dig it.

Here’s a normal scene with the effect of the lens applied:

    Hey,

Was perusing and couldn’t help but dig, as well. Reminds me a lot of Claymation. Almost wonder if a similar affect mightn’t be achieved in post by blurring a specific section of the screen, (perhaps shooting telephoto with a lot of distance b4 hand) and cutting frames as above in this strange, almost stop-motion photographic pattern.

    Thoughts?

It’s pretty ill. Might make for cool music vid fare as well.
