Indie Producer - Ted Hope

Over on his blog, Ted Hope (“In the Bedroom”, “21 Grams”) continues to urge emerging filmmakers to engage and cultivate their audiences. In this post he explains how he’d freely donate funds for a list of ten feature directors.

Hey, Ted what about me? How am I doing over here…

Unfortunately for me, his (encouragement) funds would only be for 2nd time feature filmmakers.

Mr. Hope, I’ll be joining that list soon. Promise.

If any of the following filmmakers had a crowd funding page for their next film (provided the film was $300K neg.cost or less), I would donate some money to get it made. And I would encourage others to do so.

…Yet before I gave to any of these filmmakers, I would want to see a commitment to building audiences PRIOR to filming — say a pledge to not commence until they had collected 5000 unique fans.
