The good folks over at Shadow & Act (thanks Tambay) recently posted a podcast of a conversation between emerging indie filmmakers Dennis Dortch and Barry Jenkins .

Both of these filmmakers have released well-traveled feature films in the past year or so.

The conversation covers where they are now including various triumphs and pitfalls they’ve encountered… plus projects that got made and some interesting ones that didn’t.

(not-so-subtle-plug: If you’ll recall myself and Darius Clark Monroe were featured in an earlier podcast with Tambay.)

I’m embedding the filmmakers conversation below which begins at the 15:00 minute mark:

Here’s the trailer for Barry’s feature “Medicine for Melancholy”.

And this is “A Good Day To Be Black & Sexy” by Dennis.

Oh and if you have a sec here’s Barry’s latest public effort, “Tall Enough”. It’s a neat little short about cross-culltural love courtesy of Bloomingdale’s.

Yep. That’s right.

[...] Yesterday I posted about this short from filmmaker Barry Jenkins but couldn’t find an embeddable file. [...]
