Curious Day
“Create Everywhere”. I don’t know if I could say it’s really a personal motto or not but I believe it. That’s what we do right? All of us. Either as professionals or as children with our tiny action figures (uh… He-Man to be precise). I’m very much a proud product of a southern upbringing and the native humility of said upbringing prevents me from overstating this but I guess I’ve always been one of those creative types.
I believe I came from a family of storytellers (even though my grandmother would deny that or rather just say we were common black folk just living day-to-day). But the thing I remember most is sitting in her living room and staring out through a huge sliding glass door at the world as she talked about what was out there and tried to help me gain a sense of it too. One of her favorite phrases, as she stared at something out there in the distance or was recalling some magical story she remembered was, “Hmmm. Now that was a curious day.”
Welcome to my site and what I guess will serve as my blog. I’m an actor, writer, film director, film editor, former musician, university adjunct professor and probably many other things as yet undiscovered or forgotten but this is where I’ll wax on about all of the above and more.
